PPMA Show 2026

EBS-1600 launched

Following on from the success of the EBS-230 PicAS industrial inkjet printer, its replacement, the EBS-1600 PicAS has been launched. The range includes 5 models with print heights from 13 to 58mm. Electromagnetic print technology is used to provide a positive print action enabling very fast drying inks to be used without the risk of print nozzles drying up. This technology has the added benefit of enabling printers to be used in very harsh industrial environments where dirt and sawdust etc. would cause reliability issues with other print technologies. 

Ink is supplied in self-pressurised 1-litre containers allowing for quick and clean changeover with no need for compressed air.

The 10.5 inch touchscreen HMI provides a clear and intuitive operator interface.

UBS MRX72e installation

Martek has completed the installation of a UBS MRX72e high-resolution inkjet printer at a food ingredients facory - with an additional 2 systems to follow. The system will be used to print logos, text and barcodes onto kraft outer case cartons replacing a hand-labelling operation. The system was supplied with an integrated driven belt conveyor to ensure smooth carriage past the printer enabling barcodes to be printed sharply and accurately. The cost per carton just for consumables (ink vs. labels and ribbons) was reduced by 80% with the added benefit of removing the manual labelling process.
